Human beings, by changing the inner attitudes of their minds, can change the outer aspects of their lives.
Ok. So if this is so, then if I think the public transportation is the best thing invented and that the people on there really do not smell and I just have a nose problem and do not have a problem attracting those with a terrible stench to sit next to me, will I suddenly have better experiences on the train and want to vomit just a bit less?
Or, If I start thinking that reviewing thousands and thousands of pages of documents about chemicals that all say the same thing is not boring, will I then begin to love my job again?
If I suddenly shift my mind into thinking that talking shit about your best friend behind his back and screwing over the other people important to him while he is away is really ok because he has suddenly come back and said everyone else was lying, will I then be able to tolerate his presence? Probably not. I think regardless of what that quote says, there are definitly limitations.
Basically you think bad thoughts, shit is gonna happen. You think good thoughts, good things will happen.
See the glass half full rather than half empty, and the road may change. I am pretty thankful for a lot of things in my life, however, I do not think my attitude about public transportation and the stench of nasty people who do not bathe will change any time soon.
